Search engine marketing is a form of internet marketing that promotes websites by increasing their visibility in the search engine result pages. Paid placement, paid inclusion, linkbuilding, pageranks, and any other method of search engine optimization is search engine marketing. It is the backbone of every single website.

Understanding Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

Search engine marketing is the backbone of all websites. A website can have great content and amazing features, but if they cannot show up quickly in search engine result pages (SERP’s) then traffic will be significantly reduced. Without SEM, a website could have what everyone wants to see, but no way to get it seen. This boils down to the basics of marketing and business. If you have a product, get as many people as possible to see it. SEM is everything a website uses to climb the ranks in the SERP’s.
